Christmas in Wheaton

Jensen celebrated his first Christmas in Wheaton with Grandma and Grandpa Elwell. We drove up there with 3 puppies, a baby and a car packed from floor to ceiling. Jensen did awesome on the drive up and we were so grateful for such a sweet Boo Boo! We actually surprised Grandma and Grandpa and came a day early. We really enjoyed the extra day with them. Jensen also met his Uncle Chad for the first time. Jensen had especially liked Chad and we think he saw resemblance of his Daddy in Chad. Uncle Chad also wrote a very special and funny song for Jensen which we hope to post on the blog soon for all to enjoy.
Jensen met his Greatgrandpop and Grace and also his Great-Grandpa and Grandma Banks which was very special. He also met Great Uncle and Aunts and cousins. Grandma and Grandma did so much to make our trip easy and comfortable (They let us bring 3 dogs!!!). We are so grateful for them and their hospitality! Our time in Wheaton was wonderful and we look forward to going back!

So Sweet

Such a Big Boy!

Our baby is 3 months old today! We can’t believe 12 weeks have gone by since our miracle joined our family. He has brought us immeasurable joy! At three months our little Man is smiling, laughing, cooing, tracking, and so much more!!! He has a very laid back personality, very sweet and easy going. If his tummy is full and his diaper is clean he is pretty content. He loves spending time with his Daddy and Nate can get the best reactions from him. Jensen has changed so much in 12 weeks. He was born 6lbs 12 oz and 19.25 inches. He is now 14lbs and 24 inches! He started out sleeping only about an hour at a time at night. We are now down to 1 feeding a night!! Jensen’s favorite activities right now include eating, listening to music, enjoying his swing, hanging out with Daddy and snuggling with Mommy. We love our Boo Boo so much and feel blessed God gave Him to us!!

Emrie and Drewman & Jensen's first Sleepover

On Friday night Jensen had his very first sleepover. Our special friends Emrie and Drew came and spent the night. We had such a great time baking Christmas Cookies, watching movies, staying up late and all sleeping in front of the Christmas Tree. Emrie is a great little Momma and she helped change Jensen, dress him, bathe him and she held him while he slept so I could clean up the kitchen. She is so wonderful with him and we are blessed to have her in our life and Drewman too! Jensen can’t wait to grow up more so he can play with them ever more when they come stay!

I'm a Big Boy!

Jensen so is big! He had his 8 week appointment today (even though he is almost 10 weeks!) and here are his stats:

Weight: 13lbs (75 %)

Height: 23 inchs (45 %)

Head: Mommy forgot but it puts him in the 57 % range

Overall: 79 Percentile

We are so excited Jensen is growing big and strong!!

So Many Firsts!

Jensen and I spent 2 weeks at home in God’s Country over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Nate joined us for part of the time which was wonderful. Jensen enjoyed so many “firsts” and we created so many awesome memories. Some of the firsts where:
1. Meeting his Aunt Brandi, Uncle Zack and Cousin Jack
2. Meeting his GG Jensen, one of his namesakes
3. Meeting his Great Grandpa Wolt
4. Meeting his Great Aunt and Uncle Wolt
5. Meeting his Cousin Pam, Gracon and Marjais
6. Sleeping in a Moses Bassinet that Mommy slept in
7. “Eating” so many yummy dishes from so many great eating establishments (lol)
We had sooooooo much fun and can’t wait to go back in Spring 2010 to make more memories with the family!!

Tha Tha and Paatima's Visit

This past week we had the pleasure of having our dear friends Prakash and Ranie Yesudian visit us before they went back to India. They had previously been known by us as “MAD” (Mom and Dad). Now with the arrival of Jensen they are called Tha Tha (Grandpa in Tamil) and Paatima (Grandma in Tamil). It was such a joy for them to meet Jensen and to spend time with us. They are such a blessing to us and although 1000’s of miles separate us and we sometimes go 1 or 2 years without seeing each other we are so close at heart that when we see them it is like they never left. Prakash is a great man of God who has been evangelizing worldwide for the past 40 years. Ranie is an incredible women. Very soft spoken and gentle. She is the most Godly woman I have ever met. So selfless, patient, giving, kind and totally non-materialistic. She is most worried about others and spends her time and money sharing God’s love to those around her in India. She is an inspiration to me and I cherish every moment I have with her when she visits. They both loved meeting and spending time with Jensen and as you can imagine he loved them. Paatima spent a lot of time with him and he sure loves her and is going to miss her. We pray we will see them in early 2010 and until them our love and prayers keep us together .
