Motherland Fun

I am from a very unique location in the USA. Let's just say that in college people thought I was an international student. But it is not the case. Indeed I was raised in one of the 50 continuous states. We like to come home in the summer because it is so much cooler than the south and we can see our family and enjoy the outdoors. They also have some very good eating places that N and I frequent! The weather here has been off and on. It was cold and rainy for the first 5 days and now we have had a few really nice days. When it is nice hear it is just beautiful. The air quality is at 100% and no humidity... really heaven! There is not much to do here, which is a down side but we like to spend time with auntie and cousin and Grammy & Papa. And now my sister lives 3 doors up from my parents which is especially nice! J is very much a creature of habit and the first week N was not with us and it was kind of a disaster. Lots of toddler tantrums, time outs, spankings and frustration. J is def in a toddler stage and testing all kinds of boundaries. His behavior is the full spectrum right now. Last night we (tried) to enjoy a picnic on the State capital grounds and J was just a disaster. He threw one fit after another and the evening was a flop. N and I both felt drained and frustrated, yet know his behavior is par for the course for a 2 year old. Today J woke up and was happy, smiley, loving, gentle and kind the entire day. He was just the cuties thing you have ever seen. I treasure these moments with him and know that this stage will end soon and I am trying to savor the moments with him that are sweet:)

One of the most precious pictures I have of my two kids together. Can't believe these 2 precious humans are my kiddos

Enjoying a sweet moment with my little doll. She melts my heart

This little sweet picture of J was exaclty how he was all day today. Such a good day with my honey!

Daddy Day

We had the pleasure of celebrating Father's Day in the Motherland which meant I was able to properly celebrate my dad too this year. N joined us around noon and I can honestly say I have never been so happy to see him! Single parenting 2 babies alone is so hard, I have so much empathy and respect for all the single moms who do this everyday. It is safe to say that life without N would be nothing short of a chaotic nightmare. He is our rock and our fearless leader. Besides being an exceptional dad and husband he is an exceptional human being, kind to all he meets, thoughtful, loving, caring and unselfish. I won the lottery of life when I married him and just could not imagine my life without him. Our children both adore him and he is a wonderful father. To say I love my husband and father of my children is an understatement. There are really no words or no way to express my love for my partner in life. So grateful for you N!

The very first picture with my than future husband in BC. I was already very much in love with him at this point and had witness so many of the qualities I love about him today.

My Love on our wedding day. Melts my heart still

N with our first born JJAE. What a special memory to see him holding our son

Daddy with his Jewel Miss B. When is baby girl was born his life was changed for forever

To My Love, My Life, My All... sharing my days with you makes life worth living. I love you!

Luke 10:27

On Sunday we had the honor of dedicating our sweet Bella Lou to the Lord. We can't believe she is already 4.5 months. She has almost totally worked out of the colic stage and is just a joy. She loves her exercisers and her bumbo. She loves loves loves when her Big Brother comes over and makes her laugh or gives her a kiss (which for Jensen means touching his forehead to her forehead...so sweet!) My mom and Nate's parents where able to share this special day with us and also 2 sweet couple friends. Nate and I feel privileged that the Lord has given us these precious lives and love them more than we could every express!
